Intermediate Business Analyst

Langara College is seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst to evaluate business needs and processes, and develop business and functional requirements for systems and application software. The incumbent will provide applications and systems support, engage in continual training and professional development, and provide backup to other business analysts as needed.

Requirements

• Develops business and functional requirements for systems and applications and supports systems in accordance with IT practices, processes, and procedures.
• Conducts analysis of business and user needs to develop requirements for the implementation, support or revision of systems and applications.
• Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, functional systems analysis, requirements workshops, and other appropriate information gathering tools.
• Provides applications and systems support, including writing and maintaining application and system operating procedures, checklists, and other related documentation.
• Engages in continual training and professional development, including monitoring trends and evolution of tools, techniques, methodologies, and standards.
