Acholi Interpreter

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring a work-from-home bilingual Acholi-English phone interpreter. As an interpreter, you will receive training and work with clients in various industries, including healthcare, government, and business. You will be responsible for rendering the meaning of conversations between Acholi and English speakers, and you must be able to work in a dynamic environment with high call volumes and sensitive subjects.

Requirements

• Fluency in Acholi and English and skilled in the associated cultural dynamics
• Ability to provide cultural competency and assess regional and accent differences to find ways of communicating with the LEP
• Excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy during interpretation
