Piping Stress Engineer

LAPORTE is a consulting engineering firm seeking a highly technical Piping Stress Engineer with 3 to 8 years of experience to work on piping design, stress analysis, and support to multidisciplinary engineering projects in various industries.

Requirements

• Participate in client needs analysis and project definition.
• Design of building, laboratory, plant, and industrial utilities, including piping systems, piping stress analysis, HVAC interface, plumbing interface, boiler, steam, and condensate interface.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates related to piping design and stress analysis.
• Evaluate and select equipment, technologies, and suppliers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Provide construction supervision, conduct on-site and field reviews for assigned projects.
• Support project management requirements.
• Supervise equipment installation, start-up, and qualification when needed.
• Perform piping stress analyses per ASME Section VIII, B31.1, B31.3 using commercial tools.
