The Las Vegas Valley Water District is a not-for-profit water utility that began providing water to the Las Vegas Valley in 1954. The district helped build the city's water delivery system and now provides water to more than 1 million people in Southern Nevada. The Post-Doctoral Researcher- LTE (Applied Water Quality Research) position involves conducting specialized research studies on raw and potable water, detecting and analyzing unregulated compounds and contaminants, and developing methods for their detection and removal. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in civil/environmental engineering, experience with oxidation processes, ozone, nanobubbles, and emerging contaminants, and excellent communication and writing skills.
