Job Description
Lasko Products is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to work on specific projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products and improve existing ones. The internship will run from mid-May through mid-August.
Requirements
- Attend team meetings and present updates
- Create work instructions
- Look at line balancing and product flow
- Collaborate with team to brainstorm and use decision tools such as Pugh matrix for decision making
- Participate in design reviews, DMFEAs and other review meetings
- Build 3D Models and Assemblies in Solid Works
- Design plastic parts with SPI molding practices
- Prepare drawings & STL files for prototyping purposes
- Support team in fabricating electro-mechanical product samples
- Conduct benchmark teardowns and document findings
- Prepare Power Point presentations and slides to communicate ideas
- Create bill of materials and preliminary cost analysis
