Legal, Corporate Engagement & Political Law Attorney, Vice President, New York

We work at the intersection of finance and law, providing counsel and advice that support activities across the firm. The role involves providing strategic legal advice on issues affecting the firm, The Goldman Sachs Foundation, Goldman Sachs Gives and our external donor advised fund.

Requirements

• J.D. and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Three to seven years of experience practicing law.
• Strong working knowledge of tax‐exempt organization law, with particular focus on advising private foundations and donor advised funds.
• Significant experience in political law, including pay‐to‐play, lobbying and campaign finance matters.
• Excellent judgment and the ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical guidance for business partners.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and interacting with senior management in a fast‐paced, highly regulated environment.
