The Risk Division aims to effectively identify, monitor, evaluate, and manage the firm’s financial and non-financial risks in support of the firm’s Risk Appetite Statement and strategic plan. This role manages risks primarily for our China businesses, working closely with the China Chief Risk Officer and Asia Pacific Risk regional management team.
Requirements
- Understand, execute and enhance the firm’s risk capability including framework development, collaboration with business units and control departments
- Develop and socialize analysis of the firm’s risk management plan, linking execution with impacts to financial (market, credit, liquidity) as well as non-financial (operational) risks to the firm
- Directly engage with key stakeholders to develop and implement subsidiary’s risk management framework and monitor the execution, escalating and remediating any overages on an ongoing basis
- Ongoing evaluation of compliance with regulatory regimes, new activity impact assessments and approvals, maintenance of policies and procedures
- Explain the firm’s risk posture, clarify rule interpretations, respond to industry survey and data requests, and support advocacy discussions
- Proactively engage with the risk-taking businesses to understand strategy, enable system migration, enforce limits, and challenge proposals
- Implements risk assessment and oversight frameworks designed to identify, monitor and manage non-financial risks such as those associated with systems, people, processes and external events
