Job Description
The Firefighter/EMR performs fire suppression, rescue, and emergency medical response within a county jurisdiction. This role involves driving fire apparatus, operating fire equipment, documenting incidents, and assisting with fire prevention and safety activities. Supervision is provided by the Fire Department Division Chief.
Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two to three years of fire service or fire training experience
- Valid state driver's license
- Firefighter 1 certification (or equivalent)
- Pump Ops 1, Hazmat Ops, and EVDT certification (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to operate a variety of fire suppression, rescue, and safety equipment
