Job Description
Join Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Gardener III/Spray Technician. Perform all aspects of pest control, landscaping and grounds maintenance, and operate specialized equipment. Work on-site at LLNL's sites, including Site 300 in Tracy, CA. Secure a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance.
Requirements
- Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
- Current State of California certification to apply pesticides
- Intermediate to advanced experience in pest control, including mixing and applying herbicides/pesticides and fertilizers
- Intermediate to advanced skills, knowledge, and abilities performing shrub and tree pruning, mowing, and trimming
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems and performing specialized tasks
- Basic knowledge and ability to apply Safety policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to successfully follow directions and complete requests
- Customer service and communication skills and the ability to work independently or as a team member
- Basic computer skills necessary to complete timekeeping, web-based training, and service requests
- Ability to become medically qualified to wear required respiratory and other protective equipment
