Job Description

We are seeking a Safety Basis Analyst to support implementation of 10 CFR 830, Subpart B, and other Department of Energy (DOE) and LLNL requirements at Hazard Category 2/3 nuclear facilities and Less-Than-Hazard-Category-3 facilities containing radiological, chemical, and explosive hazards.
Requirements
- Perform detailed safety basis calculations utilizing comprehensive knowledge of and broad experience in mechanical engineering to model physical systems and accident conditions.
- Provide broad application skills in the review and maintenance in the review and maintenance of Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) documents, Documented Safety Analyses (DSA), Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs), and nonnuclear safety basis documents.
- Perform hazard analysis under limited direction for processes, operations, materials, wastes, and potential energy sources used in facilities.
