Senior Systems Engineer

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) has an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer to drive the adoption of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), digital requirements management, and related digital engineering practices across the Weapon Technologies and Engineering (WTE) Program. The selected candidate will serve as a cross-functional product expert and trusted advisor, guiding engineers to adopt and maximize the value of digital engineering tools and processes.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience with systems engineering practices understanding and broad application of MBSE tools and techniques, including hands-on experience developing and maintaining system models.
• Comprehensive knowledge of discrete requirements management tools and other systems engineering tools and techniques for product realization processes, including requirements, designs, functions, failure mechanisms, risks, assessments, and verifications.
• Ability to promote and maintain productive relationships across directorates, with other laboratories, and with personnel from external entities.
