Transport Supervisor

Lawsons, the UK’s largest independent supplier of fencing, timber, and building materials, is seeking an experienced and motivated Transport Supervisor to join our Colney Heath branch. As a Transport Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our delivery operations.

Requirements

• Experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management within the builders’ merchant or construction materials sector
• Background in team supervision and route planning
• Good working knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transport legislation, and driver compliance
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Proficient communicator with a positive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
• Competent IT user, able to work with delivery management or fleet tracking systems
• Full UK driving licence required; HGV licence and/or relevant CPC qualification desirable but not essential
