Yard Operative

Lawsons is recruiting a Yard Operative to join their Havant branch. The role is an operational, hands-on position responsible for supporting yard and branch activities, handling materials safely and efficiently, assisting customers and drivers, and maintaining a clean, organised and compliant yard environment.

Requirements

• Previous yard, warehouse or manual handling experience desirable, preferably within builders’ merchants, timber, landscaping or related sectors.
• Good practical skills, physically capable of handling materials and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Basic numeracy and IT literacy, comfortable using handheld devices and company systems where required.
• Strong team orientation with good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Organised, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision while following health and safety and company procedures.
