Job Description
This position is primarily responsible for supporting all phases of the design and development of custom mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware for LB Foster’s friction management systems.
Requirements
- Support the development conceptual and detailed designs of custom mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for train-mounted applications
- Support design validation and verification using FEA modelling, prototyping, and field assessment
- Generate manufacturing drawings
- Conduct experiments, and perform data acquisition and analysis
- Support manufacturing and conduct QA
- Generate trial plans, reports, manuals, and other documents
- Participate in trials, installations, and tests of equipment in the field
