Job Description
Job summary: The Certified Athletic Trainer is responsible for the day-to-day medical coverage of student-athletes in the high school outreach setting. The role provides athletic training services while following all rules and regulations within the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Code of Ethics, the Board of Certification Standards of Professional Practice, and the Louisiana Athletic Trainers’ Practice Act. The Athletic Trainer will work collaboratively with coaches, school staff, families, and other healthcare providers as necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree from Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or other related field.
- BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
- State Licensed Athletic Trainer through LSBME
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
