Job Description
The Family Services Specialist III is a specialist level position that involves interviewing and investigating cases of suspected child and adult abuse, out-of-home placements, and adoptions. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a human services field or equivalent experience, as well as considerable experience in the assigned program area. Responsibilities include developing service plans, testifying in court, and providing case management services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of two years of appropriate and related experience in a Human Services area
- Considerable experience in assigned program area and completion of required training programs or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Possession of a BSW or MSW degree and a Commonwealth of Virginia Social Worker license are desirable
