Job Description
Review, analyze, and release medical information in accordance with HIPAA, Privacy Act, and DoD directives. Verify the validity and authorization of requests for medical information and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, insurance companies, and government agencies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Experience with medical record management or health information systems is strongly desired
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Ability to type at least 1,200 lines per day
- Knowledge of HIPAA, DoD, and DHA privacy/security policies
