Requirements
- Develop implementation strategies for plant layout modifications and production processes
- Create panel designs, layouts, bill of materials, and wiring schematics
- Initiate, implement, and test change controls
- Provide electrical design of automation and control systems
- Ensure designs conform to applicable codes and regulations
- Participate in development, testing, and implementation of PLC/SCADA application software
- Provide control engineering support on commissioning and validation initiatives
- Define and generate system requirements and functional specifications
- Assist in developing control system standards and engineering procedures
- Determine manpower requirements and modify work methods
- Update labor routings and operation descriptions
- Design and/or specify work fixtures and modify as required by production
- Research and purchase tools and equipment as required
- Set labor standards through Time Studies or Most Analysis
- Create various reports as required
- Perform cost analysis to determine feasibility of new products or processes
- Analyze ergonomic concerns and implement solutions
- Create and maintain APQP documents
- Assist with MOE certificate of approval process
- Manage facility alterations and improvements
- Learn product requirements and ensure they are met
- Solve production problems that arise within an organization
- Design information as well as manufacturing systems
- Develop control systems that help in analysis of costs and planning of finances
- Develop cost efficient processes in the engineering field
- Monitor the general flow of operations
- Establish programs of work measurement in order to guarantee fulfillment of targets and deadlines
- Determine how best to use the work force to achieve maximum productivity
- Give recommendations on how to improve productivity
- Communicate with the staff and management on ways of implementing the plans and the recommendations
- Ensures compliance with legislation
- Works safely and reports hazards and unsafe conditions
