Blaster

Ledcor is hiring Drillers, Blasters, and Equipment Operators for civil and mining projects across Canada. The role involves leading blast preparation and loading, directing blast crews, and operating safely.

Requirements

• Valid Newfoundland & Labrador Blaster’s Certificate or eligible to work towards obtaining
• Experience blasting in surface mining or quarry operations
• Strong knowledge of blast loading, tie-ins, and initiation systems or a willingness to learn
• Ability to read and execute blast plans and loading instructions
• Production-focused, safety-driven, and able to work independently
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Ability to work rotations, shifts, and overtime
• Valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on uneven terrain
• Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing
