You will play a key role in the execution and implementation of a diverse range of health and safety programs and can expect to work on challenging projects with diverse and collaborative teams to meet and exceed Ledcor’s safety standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related work experience in heavy civil, mining, or related industry
- Must hold a CRSP, Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, CSO or NCSO designation
- Has developed technical knowledge of common construction practices, techniques, and equipment within the Pipeline Construction and/or Pipeline Maintenance Industries
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information to the hourly workforce, while also effectively interacting with project management staff, clients, and customers
- Ability to provide a proactive approach to safety, to include identification of operational and organizational issues, as well as develop and implement strategies to solve them
- Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, program development, safety & health training, and accident investigation
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong computer competency including experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license and driver's abstract
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements
