Residential Peer

Legacy Behavioral Health Services is hiring a Residential Peer to work in Valdosta, Georgia. The Peer Specialist will provide peer support services to program participants, including group facilitation and one-on-one support, and assist them in regaining control over their lives and recovery process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate Degree in field of human services preferred
• Eligible for Certification as a Peer Specialist or Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist by the state of Georgia
• Valid driver's license
• Mental Health and/or Substance Use Diagnosis
• At least one year of active treatment and currently receiving only maintenance treatment
• In recovery for at least 2 years
• No incarceration or law enforcement involvement in the last 2 years
• Two letters of recommendation from someone who has had an impact on your recovery
