ElderAccessLine® Attorney

The ElderAccessLine Attorney will provide legal guidance, supervision, and strategic direction to a team of attorneys and paralegals, and will be responsible for evaluating Centralized Intake Unit (CIU) applications, formulating legal advice and recommendations, and educating clients regarding their legal options and consequences.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Admitted to, and in good standing with, the Nebraska State Bar
• Relevant experience in poverty law, elder law, with a legal aid program, or serving the client community in a way related to legal services
• Experience supervising staff
• Awareness of the legal problems and needs of low-income and elder Nebraskans
• Ability to communicate with persons in the client community
• Ability to work effectively with other members of the firm
