Job Description
Legal Services NYC (LSNYC) fights poverty and seeks racial, social and economic justice for low-income New Yorkers. This position is for Fall 2026 Right to Counsel attorneys (Law Graduates or Staff Attorneys) within the Housing Unit, working on both new and existing Right to Counsel initiatives. The position focuses on housing court litigation, tenant advocacy, and training for other advocates and community members.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission (or seeking admission) to practice law in New York State.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and working in low-income communities.
- Excellent communication skills and community outreach experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Fluency in Spanish or another language.
