Staff Attorney CSS- White Plains

Legal Services of the Hudson Valley is seeking a full-time staff attorney to represent clients with mental health disorders in various civil matters, including human rights, housing, benefits, and family law. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of legal experience, excellent people skills, and a demonstrated commitment to serving low-income persons.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the New York State Bar
• Three or more years of legal experience, including litigation, or its equivalent
• Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income persons with prior experience in legal services or similar program
• Excellent people skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle
