Cybersecurity Intern

The Leidos Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) is seeking a cybersecurity intern to gain familiarity with cyber operations processes, procedures, tools, frameworks, and methodologies. The intern will complete assigned training, conduct research and analysis on emerging cyber threats, and work with assigned mentors on projects, documentation, and research.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university in an IT or cybersecurity program
• Strong understanding of computer networks, security principles, and protocols
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, including vulnerability scanners, intrusion detection systems, and firewalls
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Solid speaking and writing skills for developing/presenting material to an audience in person or across collaboration tools such as Teams.
