The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Network Engineer (Campus Area Network/Local Area Network (CAN/LAN)) to support global enterprise networks. The job duties are as follows: interpret customer requirements, document designs, use a private test lab, schedule maintenance windows, provide technical expertise, develop secure network designs, supervise other network support specialists, develop and improve design products and processes.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience with a combination of work history and education
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Compliance with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
- Experience specific to network engineering, including Tier III or higher network operations and/or network design and implementation
- Prior responsibility for production network hardware configurations for Cisco, Brocade, and/or Juniper
- Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting standard routing protocols in a production network
- Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting standard switching and trunking protocols in a production network
- Desired qualifications: network engineering and design experience specific to CAN/LAN, MPLS WANs, network management tools, and firewalls
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent knowledge
