Job Description
We're seeking a System Safety Engineer to join our matrixed organization, supporting multiple programs in various engineering fields. The ideal candidate will have experience working independently on projects, some systems engineering exposure, and the ability to communicate with non-System Safety Engineering stakeholders. This role offers opportunities for leadership positions in System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT).
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with 8+ years of experience or an MS with 6+ years.
- Demonstrated familiarity with MIL-STD-882E and its application to system safety programs
- Experience in deriving requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems.
- Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
- Possess a secret clearance.
