We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Principal Power Electronics Engineer to join our engineering organization. The candidate will serve as a technical leader within our power conversion team, driving the design, development, and integration of advanced power electronic systems for high-reliability Navy and commercial applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated experience in the design and development of power electronic systems
- Expertise in designing high-frequency switching power converters, inverters, and DC/DC converters
- Strong understanding of thermal management, EMI considerations, and reliability engineering principles
- Experience with worst-case analysis, derating analysis and reliability documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Experience taking designs through production release and sustaining engineering
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and functions
- Demonstrated leadership experience in guiding engineering teams and projects
