Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics is responsible for working with the Engineering Team on the design, development, and testing of switch-mode power conversion equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in electrical design in a light manufacturing environment
- P. Eng. designation, and eligible for registration with Engineers NS
- Familiarity with the application of military and commercial standards to electrical designs is required
- Multi-Layer Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design capabilities considered an asset
- Knowledge of CAN, SPI, USB, I2C, RS485, RS232 communication protocols to new product designs considered an asset
