CYS - Junior Security Engineer - GCSC

Leonardo is an international industrial group seeking a Junior Security Engineer to provide professional services and support senior figures in the Global Cybersec Center services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM disciplines, preferably in Informatics, Telecommunications, or Engineering
• Junior experience in Cyber Security field (experience in SOC/Managed Security Services Provider contexts considered a plus)
• Fundamentals of Networking (OSI Model, TCP/IP, Routing & Switching)
• Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
• Basic knowledge and minimum experience in the use of virtualized infrastructure based on virtual machines and containers
• Basic knowledge of cloud infrastructure with reference to the main hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Theoretical knowledge of the main cyber attacks and defense methodologies
• Understanding of the concepts of log management and threat analysis
• Basic knowledge of AI applied to Cyber Security
• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python or Bash)
• Familiarity with the DevSecOps paradigm and orchestration/automation models and minimum experience in related tools
• Knowledge of the basic concepts of technologies and platforms falling within one or more of the following areas: Network, Perimeter & Boundary Security, Identity, Access & Zero Trust Security, Detection & Response, Endpoint & Workload Protection, Data Protection, Cloud Security, and Cyber Resilience
