Compressor Mechanic

Role Overview

Sets, maintains, repairs and operates compressors in their respective area. Performs preventative maintenance and routine mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on company assets.

What You Will Do

Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots and diagnoses routine problems, completes repairs and modifications, and operates equipment.

Requires ability to communicate effectively, familiarity with portable diagnostic tools, and working knowledge of pneumatic and electric starters, fuel systems, and other compression related anatomy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year related experience
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
• Familiarity with portable diagnostic tools
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
• Technical certification in automotive, lift truck, heavy equipment and/or diesel engine repair preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• Working knowledge of pneumatic and electric starters, fuel systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, ignition systems and other compression related anatomy
• Working knowledge of electrical systems
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed/required
• Ability and willingness to take direction from supervisors and senior team members
