A Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) will be integral to the team of medical practitioners providing surgical care to patients in the operating room. This role focuses on assisting surgeons during surgical interventions, utilizing advanced surgical assisting skills, and ensuring a safe and effective operating room environment. The CSFA works under the supervision of a registered nurse and collaboratively aids in achieving optimal patient safety and procedure outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate from a NBTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) accredited surgical assisting program.
- Graduate from a RCRA-approved training program.
- Current Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification (CSFA).
- Registered Nurse supervision
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique.
