Job Description
Lexington Health is seeking a Professional Medical Coder II to assign ICD and CPT codes for reimbursement and statistical purposes, following ICD, CPT, CMS, and other regulatory coding guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of professional coding experience covering multiple clinical and/or surgical specialties
- Active AAPC or AHIMA coding credential
- Experience with CPT, ICD diagnosis coding, CCI edits, Medicare LCDs and NCDs, electronic health records software, and Microsoft applications
- Strong understanding of state and federal regulations and payor billing requirements
