Respiratory Therapist (PRN or casual status)

Lexington Regional Health Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory therapy services to patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory conditions. This role involves assessing patients, administering treatments, educating patients and families, and ensuring a safe work environment. Therapist will work in a fast-paced setting, handling patients and equipment efficiently.

Requirements

• Assesses and administers respiratory services using appropriate protocols.
• Administers respiratory therapies, including nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and bronchial hygiene.
• Educates patients and families about lung diseases.
• Performs diagnostic testing such as EKG’s and PFT’s.
• Maintains accurate patient and staff safety guidelines.
• Properly bags and dispose of biohazardous waste.
• Maintains patient and staff safety through patient safety tools.
• Ensure safe and appropriate working conditions.
• Proper collection, storage, and labeling of biological specimens.
