Maintenance Mechanic

We're seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Lhoist North America. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll perform duties including mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant operating equipment. You'll be responsible for conducting inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on all plant operating equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 3+ years of relevant mechanical experience including welding, equipment alignments, equipment troubleshooting, reading of blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Industrial background with good troubleshooting skills
• Ability to detect potential problems through observation in the field
• Must be flexible to schedule changes
• Must have a telephone and be in on-call rotation
• Self-Motivated and must be able to work independently
• Good decision-making skills regarding safety
• Knowledge of basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as work orders, blueprints, mechanical drawings, safety rules, standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Knowledgeable of current environmental regulations and practices as they relate to the lime industry
• Must perform all tasks in a timely and efficient manner
