AVP Lead Attorney - Personal Auto

Role Overview

Liberty Mutual is seeking a management-level attorney to lead a team of lawyers and legal professionals who support the personal auto operations of Liberty Mutual Group's US Retail Markets business unit. The role focuses on legal support and guidance for USRM's auto insurance products, including product design, pricing, underwriting, forms, telematics, and state management operations.

What You Will Do

Manage goals, capacity, performance, and development for team members/direct reports. Represent and advise the Company in substantial legal and business matters that require insurance regulatory expertise.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Requires at least fifteen to twenty years' experience as a practicing attorney with expertise in insurance regulatory law, excellent analytical, legal writing, and communication skills, and a proactive approach to work.

Requirements

• Completion of law school with a J.D. or L.L.B. degree and admission to the bar of at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• At least fifteen to twenty years' experience as a practicing attorney
• Experience advising on personal-lines product, product design, underwriting, and pricing matters
• Expert knowledge of insurance regulatory law
• Management experience and/or CPCU preferred
