Job Description
We are seeking a Part-Time Peer Specialist to join our team, providing peer support and resources for individuals in recovery. The ideal candidate has lived experience with addiction, homelessness, and/or mental health and is certified as a Certified Peer Specialist.
Requirements
- HS Diploma required
- Work experience in a behavioral health or related setting preferred
- Certification as a Certified Peer Specialist preferred
- Personal recovery experience of 1-2 years preferred
- Ability to understand and operate from a strength-based approach
- Professionalism in all settings
- Relationship-building and collaborating with other service providers
- Problem-solving using creative solutions
- Dignity and respect for participants
- De-escalating participants in times of crisis
