Job Description
We are seeking a Peer Specialist to work in our Oswego Crisis Residence Program, providing support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified or provisionally certified as a Certified Peer Specialist (NYCPS), Family Peer Advocate (FPA), Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA), or willing to complete the certification process within six months
- Personal experience with emotional, behavioral, addiction, or co-occurring disorders
- Work experience in a behavioral health or related setting
- Ability to utilize critical thinking, problem-solving, and de-escalation skills
