OPERATOR (Utility Service Worker)

Performs necessary functions of the daily operations and maintenance of water distribution systems, sewer collection systems and water and wastewater treatment plants.

Requirements

• Regular and predictable attendance
• Positive and effective working relationships
• Public relationships as a representative of Licking County Government
• Monitoring water and/or wastewater treatment equipment
• Assisting Maintenance Operator with repairs
• Operating and maintaining water distribution and wastewater systems
• Receiving and responding to emergency situations
• Inspecting and logging consumer meter readings
• Performing preventative and service maintenance and repair on departmental vehicles
• Collecting water and/or wastewater samples
• Completing general housekeeping tasks
• Meets all job safety requirements and OSHA safety standards

Benefits

• 35 hour week
• Regular work hours 7:30AM-4PM
• Occasional weekends, holidays and on-call with additional compensation
