Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides general treatment to patients in a home setting under the guidance of a physical therapist and physician. This role involves treatment, patient education, coordination of care, and documentation. The PTA is responsible for maximizing patient function and maintaining professional standards.

Requirements

• Treat the patient in accordance with a specific program and coordinate it with other team members.
• Provide patient education on therapy plan, home exercise, safety, and diagnosis.
• Measure patient condition, report changes, and coordinate with supervising therapist.
• Maintain professionalism, ethical conduct, and report unethical situations.
• Complete documentation and comply with company policy.
• Participate in conference and case conferences.
• Complete continuing education requirements.
• Meet mandatory continuing education requirements.
• Maintain current state professional license and current CPR certification.
