Job Description
LifeLabs is a leading provider of laboratory diagnostic information and digital health connectivity systems, enabling patients and healthcare practitioners to diagnose, treat, monitor and prevent disease. The Lab Patient Technician will be responsible for the specimen collection process, from greeting patients through to preparation of specimens for transportation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent
- Phlebotomy experience is an asset
- ECG training or experience is an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
- Strong customer/patient service
- Strong empathy, flexibility, adaptability to change, and problem solving skills
- Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality
