Job Description
LifeLabs is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join their team in Terrace, BC. The successful candidate will conduct diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, prepare and process samples, and ensure accurate labeling and documentation. The role requires a college diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience, and registration with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS).
Requirements
- College diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- CSMLS registered and in good standing.
- Excellent communication skills to enable you to relate with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to LifeLabs standards of safety, accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail who demonstrates curiosity.
- Ability to distinguish multiple colors.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office products, as well as laboratory analyzers.
- Problem solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow-up on issues.
- Ability to maintain the strictest standards of safety, patient privacy and confidentiality.
