Job Description
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Buyer II and make a meaningful impact on global science and healthcare. You'll contribute to ensuring the seamless supply of materials that enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Working in a procurement environment, you'll manage supplier relationships, drive cost optimization, and ensure timely delivery of critical materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree + 2 years experience or in lieu of a degree, 6+ years of relevant procurement/buying experience in a manufacturing environment experience will be considered
- APICS, CPIM, CSCP or CIPS certification preferred
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred, Oracle, JD Edwards) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and especially Excel)
- Experience with MRP, inventory management and supplier relationship management
