Manufacturing Technician ll - First Shift

Manufacturing Technician ll - First Shift role is available at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The position is based out of Grand Island, NY site within BioProduction Group. Responsibilities include operating equipment, weighing and measuring raw materials, and following safe practices and policies. Requirements include high school diploma, 1 year of manufacturing experience, and ability to wear personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Use of equipment that includes mixers, mills, blenders, pumps, filtration systems, packaging, and laboratory equipment.
• Weigh, measure, and check raw materials with the assistance of a computer interface to ensure batches manufactured contain accurate materials and quantities.
• Calibrate and operate manual, semi-automated, and automated manufacturing equipment. Identify and conduct basic troubleshooting equipment.
• Follow all safe practices, policies, standard operating procedures, and work instructions in controlled environments up to and including classified clean rooms.
• Complete moderately complex tasks related to the manufacturing of cell culture media. Perform related duties as required to meet business goals and requirements.
