Scientist II, Molecular Biology

Job Title: Scientist II, Molecular Biology at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. The role is part of the antibody team, responsible for developing innovative molecular biology techniques to enable high throughput recombinant antibody platforms. Responsibilities include informal leadership, mentoring, and technical supervision, as well as partnering with supporting functions to meet program goals.

Requirements

• PhD with 3-5 years' experience
• Master's degree with 5-10 years experience
• Degree in a relevant life sciences field with a strong focus on next generation molecular biology and high throughput cloning technologies
• Experience with antibody development and engineering, molecular biology, vector design, and next generation cloning
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience in high throughput methods, including automation
• Experience leading core facilities for molecular biology and/or sequencing
• Authorship of peer-reviewed publications and post-doctoral experience
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced research environment
• Proficient in MS Office applications and statistical software such as Prism
