The Senior Product Owner is responsible for establishing a deep product expertise by understanding buyer and user personas, value proposition, benefits, features and functionality, competitive landscape, architecture, code base, and technical components. This person collaborates closely with other product owners, product managers, scrum master(s), and development managers to leverage Agile processes and tools which support product requirements, sprint review, backlog refinement (grooming), sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog/ticket creation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with exposure to SAAS products within the healthcare industry as a business analyst or related role;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in integrating third party applications with Epic systems or configuration and management of the Epic systems;
- Prior experience in the Epic Payer Platform preferred;
- Deep technical proficiency in SMART on FHIR, OAuth 2.0, SMART Backend Services, Epic Public and Private Web Service APIs;
- Expertise in the clinical workflow, with the ability to integrate external application features to Epic Hyperspace;
- Deep understanding of HL7 FHIR resources and a proven ability to map complex clinical data elements to FHIR R4 or US Core profiles;
- Direct experience documenting requirements for RESTful APIs, webhooks, and backend services that interact with Epic;
- Expertise in Epic CDS Hooks and BPA alerts, including the ability to design trigger logic for Information, Suggestion, and App Link cards that minimize 'alert fatigue' for clinicians;
- Agile / SCRUM experience and/or certification;
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
- High level of honesty, respect, dependability and flexibility;
- Experience in fast-paced and rapidly growing environment;
- Strong business acumen;
- Must be comfortable gathering feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred;
- Great organizational skills and ‘get things done’ attitude.
