Senior Scientist - Computational Discovery & Translational Analytics

Amgen is seeking a Senior Scientist with a strong background in computational biology to join the Bioinformatics Technologies team within the Automation, Research Data Systems, Informatics, and AI (ARIA) organization. The role will focus on developing and applying advanced computational approaches to enable target discovery, validation, and biomarker identification across multimodal biological datasets.

Requirements

• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, data science, or a related quantitative discipline
• Strong foundation in computational biology methods, including statistical modeling and AI/ML, with the ability to apply these approaches to high-dimensional biological datasets
• Experience working with large-scale biological data, including long-read RNA sequencing, single-cell multi-omics, spatial omics, perturbation screens, translatomics, and/or epigenomic data
