Legal Intern

An opportunity for a final-year law student, law graduate, or non-law graduate to join a fast-paced and dynamic in-house legal team. The role involves providing general support on the day-to-day business of the legal team, assisting with contract signing process, and undertaking legal writing and research.

Requirements

• Final year law student or law graduate (LLB/BA degree in law)
• Non-law degree graduate who has passed the GDL or SQE1
• An interest in and general understanding of renewables and solar energy
• Familiarity with English law, legal procedures and standards
• Broad knowledge of day-to-day operations of an in-house legal team and legal processes
• Excellent English language skills
• Good Microsoft Office knowledge
• An interest in AI tools and their practical application within an in-house legal context
• Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication and organisation skills and record keeping
• A proactive and 'can-do' attitude and strong willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and a focus on delivering work to a high standard
• Team player, working collaboratively with members of the legal team and internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to understand and contribute to the objectives of the legal team as well as all other business units within Lightsource bp
• Ability to work well under pressure and to manage conflicting deadlines
