Responsible for determining operations required for fabrication and assembly of products, planning and conducting phases of major engineering projects, and providing technical guidance on complex projects. Work with production planning to set shop priorities, attend Advance Quality Planning meetings, and interface with suppliers to establish engineering requirements.
Requirements
- University degree in engineering or equivalent
- Three to five years of related experience
- Ability to collect data and develop statistics to describe equipment and system functionality
- Ability to determine which materials and equipment to use for projects
- Ability to complete work order and change work order forms
- Good communication skills
- Ability to coordinate and integrate work within teams of engineers and technicians
- Knowledge/work experience in machine processes, cutting tools, fixtures, CNC and Special purpose machines
- Working knowledge of ISO-TS16949 and ISO 14001, and with mechanical blueprint interpretation including GD and T
- Good computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with the use of statistical analysis software and computer-assisted design, manufacturing and machining
- Ability to conduct self-directed studies and attend formal professional development seminars and conferences
