The Maintenance Technician ensures the integrity of building systems by performing routine maintenance and minor repairs while supporting the efficient operation of equipment.
Requirements
- Perform repairs on toilet facilities, including soap dispensers; clear drains using plungers and handheld augers.
- Conduct general labor tasks such as carrying, stacking, and sorting materials, and debris removal.
- Maintain and/or replace door hardware, perform minor furniture repairs, and conduct floor maintenance.
- Conduct basic painting tasks in equipment rooms and perform general cleaning in mechanical spaces.
- Replace lamps, air filters, ceiling tiles, and fire extinguishers.
- Perform maintenance tasks as assigned; conduct cleaning and inspections of engineering areas and equipment.
- Use employer-provided vehicles to travel for parts and supplies.
- Follow company safety protocols and use PPE for all tasks; ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA regulations; report hazards immediately.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies; handle urgent tenant service requests and support recovery efforts during severe weather and system outages.
- Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers while carrying out maintenance tasks.
- Work under the direction of senior engineers and supervisors to develop skills in maintenance and repairs.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
